It’s an easy distinction to miss.
You can care deeply about your work, your team, your family, your clients or the people around you … without taking responsibility for every outcome.
Sometimes we step in because we want to help.
Sometimes because we know we can make things easier.
And sometimes, without realising it, we start carrying things that were never ours to carry in the first place.
Being supportive doesn’t mean solving everything.
Being a good leader doesn’t mean having all the answers.
And being a caring person doesn’t mean constantly putting yourself last.
There is strength in knowing where your responsibility ends — and allowing others to carry theirs.
That isn’t detachment.
It’s a boundary.
And sometimes, a very healthy one.
