The role.
The opportunity.
The decision.
The next step.
On paper, it can all make perfect sense.
And yet something doesn't quite sit comfortably.
It can be tempting to dismiss that feeling, particularly when there are plenty of reasons why we should be happy with the choice we've made.
Sometimes we do need to give things time.
Sometimes we need to challenge our assumptions.
And sometimes, after looking at it honestly, we realise that something simply isn't a good fit anymore.
I think that's one of the things I mean when I talk about alignment.
Not following every feeling.
Not expecting everything in life to feel easy.
And certainly not making decisions based on instinct alone.
It's about bringing the different pieces together - what matters to us, what we need, what we're capable of, what we're choosing and how we're actually experiencing it.
When those things are pulling in very different directions, it can be difficult to feel settled, even when everything looks fine from the outside.
Sometimes the work isn't about finding a completely different path.
It's about noticing what isn't fitting - and understanding why.
